Successful press days at BAU 2015
For each of its clients HI-MACS®, HELLA Sonnen- und Wetterschutztechnik and tremco illbruck pro publica organized a press day at the trade fair BAU (Munich) in the middle of January. More than 25 specialist journalists and photographers attended each of the press days at the clients’ exhibition stands. Together with the team of pro publica the marketing managers of HI-MACS®, HELLA and tremco illbruck informed the journalists about the latest products and developments presented at BAU, the world's leading trade fair for architecture, materials and systems. Press day for ALHO at Medica
In November pro publica organized a press day for its client ALHO Systembau GmbH during Medica in Düsseldorf, the world’s largest medical trade fair. Numerous journalists attended this event at ALHO’s booth at the fair. Supported by pro publica Juliane Brendebach, marketing director ALHO, presented interesting topics and projects in the field of modular health care properties to the attending journalists. Furthermore Gerhard Hoffmann talked about the issue of life-cycle costs in modular construction and Jürgen Klement informed the audience about microbiological safety of drinking water in hospital construction.
New corporate blog with StekoX®
StekoX® has established a new corporate blog. However, the blog of the expert in sealing systems is not simply a common corporate blog: Topics like corporate culture, sportsmanship, exciting construction projects and last but not least a sense of humor are significant for this blog. The conception was developed by pro publica. The agency will provide the editorial content and assist the team of StekoX® in writing blog posts and finding guest writers. pro publica at London Design Festival
In the middle of September pro publica assisted its client AHEC (American Hardwood Export Council) at the launch of the exhibition “The Wish List” at the London Design Festival 2014. During the opening event agency owner Ursula Rothe-Klaiber and Daniela Tscherbakova supported journalists of architectural and design magazines from Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
The Wish List is a collaborative project between some of the world’s best-known design names and up-and-coming designers, brought together by the American Hardwood Export Council (AHEC) and Benchmark Furniture. Terence Conran, co-founder of Benchmark, who attended the event, instigated the project. The results of the design ideas of Terence Conran and his friends Paul Smith, Norman Foster, Amanda Levete, John Pawson, Alison Brooks, Zaha Hadid, Alex de Rijke, Allen Jones and Richard and Ab Rogers is ten beautiful objects in a variety of American hardwoods.

For each of its clients HELLA Sonnen- und Wetterschutztechnik and tremco illbruck pro publica organized a press day at the trade fair fensterbau frontale at the end of March. More than 30 specialist journalists and photographers attended the press days directly at the clients’ exhibition stands. Press day for ALHO
In autumn pro publica organized a press day in Friesenhagen at the production site of ALHO, a manufacturer of modular buildings. A presentation given by ALHO’s management as well as a guided tour of the production facilities informed about 20 journalists of several specialist periodicals about the advantages of modern modular construction. An inspection of a new building of the clinical centre in Siegen built by ALHO vividly showed the journalists that buildings in modular construction can cope with complex and challenging building tasks. AHEC „Endless Stair“open in London
Endless Stair, a towering structure of interlocking staircases made from American tulipwood CLT (cross-laminated timber) is open to the public till 10th
October 2013 (London Design Festival). This elegant sculpture will provide visitors the opportunity to enjoy stunning views of the River Thames and Tate Modern. Endless Stair is made up of a series of timber flights, some veering to the right some to the left, providing many ways to explore the installation. This project demonstrates the real potential for using tulipwood, an abundant, relatively inexpensive and structurally impressive American hardwood. It is designed by Rijke Marsh Morgan Architects (dRMM), London, and engineered by Arup. The Endless Stair is sponsored by our client AHEC (American hardwood Export Council).
40th anniversary of pro publica – in support of communication
The corpoprate history of Filderstadt based agency pro publica started 40 years ago. This fact was celebrated with an anniversary ceremony in June 2013. Founded by specialist journalist Ursula Rothe-Klaiber in Cologne in 1973 the agency for advertising and public relations is specialized in topics like architecture, interior design, timber, ecology and alternative energy sources. pro publica started as a full service provider for Brügmann Holzimport in Cologne in 1973 and established itself in Stuttgart in the 1980s and 1990s by various award-winning awareness campaigns for the German Timber Promotion Fund. Up until now the logo which was developed for this campaign is the spanning word and figurative mark for the German forestry and timber industry.

E-Mail-Newsletter for StekoX ®
During the last months our client StekoX has systematically expanded its digital communication. The specialist for waterproofing has revised its online presence and expanded the digital channels by a Facebook website, a Youtube channel and a professional Blog. As an additional communication instrument pro publica has implemented a bilingual E-Mail-Newsletter in May for the very first time. By the Online-Mailing in German and English StekoX informs its partner companies, building enterprises, clients and engineers about new products and application examples and about its successful participation at bauma 2013 in Munich.

Trade fair attendance of AHEC at Interzum 2013
In the middle of May our client AHEC (American Hardwood Export Council) presented itself at Interzum Cologne, the world’s largest trade fair in the sector furniture production and interiors. In line with this topic AHEC had designed its booth at the fair which included the ground-breaking workspace “Octopus” – a construction made of American Tulipwood. Besides trade visitors and business partners numerous editors of specialist magazines visited the stand. They had been invited by pro publica in order to join a press reception on 14th May. During this event AHEC Executive Director Mike Snow and AHEC European Director David Venables as well as Rupert Oliver, consultant to AHEC for sustainability issues, extensively answered the journalists’ questions.
AHEC press dinner
In preparation of Interzum in Cologne AHEC and pro publica had invited media to join a press dinner in Stuttgart on 2nd Mai 2013. Numerous editors of different architectural and construction magazines attended this event and were informed about the council’s current and future projects. AHEC European Director David Venables and consultant for sustainability issues Rupert Oliver also provided them with information about important topics like sustainability, environmental profiles, Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and the project “Endless Stair” planned for this year’s London Design Festival 2013.
Press day for ALHO at bauma 2013
For the building industry April is characterized by important fairs. At bauma 2013 the biggest fair for construction machines, construction equipment and vehicles worldwide we organized a press reception for our client ALHO. A range of specialised journalists and photographers attended this event and were presented modular container systems of the future at the stand on the open-air site of Munich Fair. Juliane Brendebach, Marketing Director of ALHO, presented the media representatives the latest container-systems for more efficiency, sustainability and energy efficiency.
Corporate Blog for StekoX®
In the context of a relaunch of the company’s website, pro publica started a corporate blog for StekoX® with the focus on an intensive dialogue with all relevant target groups. pro publica developed the concept, produces reports and other articles, and organises authors, all editing and community management.

HI-MACS® press conference on KÖ3 project
The BW-Bank subsidiary on Königstraße 3 (KÖ3) in Stuttgart city centre has been redesigned on the ground floor and the top floor. Attractive room details made from HI-MACS® form the essential style elements in the conversion of the KÖ3 subsidiary. Within the framework of the project, we organised a press conference for HI-MACS® that was attended by around 20 specialist journalists. Afterwards there was a round of exciting talks and presentations by people including representatives from the wittfoht architekten architect's office and the HI-MACS® processor Rosskopf & Partner. To round it all off, participants could go on an extensive tour of the redesigned areas of the bank branch.
