Photo shooting for NunnaUuni
Who can think of winter’s topics like heating during the currently hot summertime? This no problem for pro publica as we are making long-term plans for all of our clients. This is particularly the case for our client NunnaUuni, a Finland based manufacturer of soapstone stoves. The client wished for new images which could be used for press and marketing purpose during the autumn and winter months. Therefore pro publica did some research among the owners of brand new NunnaUuni stoves, picked the ideal candidate and organized a professional photo shooting with models and requisites on site. On 10th July pro publica staged a recently installed soapstone stove in a semidetached house in Lünen. However, prior to the actual photo shooting some preparations had to be done: we had to arrange the furniture and the position of the models and adjust the lighting in order to stage the NunnaUuni stove at the best. Press journey to HELLA in East Tyrol
Bright sunshine underlined the picturesque
mountain panorama of the Lienz Dolomites. Not a bad start for a trip to our client HELLA Sonnen- und Wetterschutztechnik GmbH in East Tyrol. Journalists from eleven specialist magazines accepted the invitation from 28th
May to the Austrian municipality of Abfaltersbach where HELLA’s administrative and operating headquarters are situated since 1959. After a guided tour through the production, the long-standing owner Franz Kraler provided the journalists with an entertaining presentation of the history of HELLA. The insights offered by the young building physicist Robert Weitlaner in the HELLA lab were yery interesting, too: There the company is working on new ideas for the sunscreen of the future. Currently research is being conducted at the predictable control of daylight. The further program included product presentations, individual talks and the practical assembly of HELLA TRAV®frame. The day ended with a friendly get-together in a traditional Tyrolean cottage.

pro publica at Clerkenwell Design Week 2015
In the middle of May pro publica assisted its client
AHEC (American Hardwood Export Council) during the launch of the installation „The Invisible Store of Happiness” exhibited at Clerkenwell Design Week (19th to 21st May 2015). pro publica supervised journalists of architectural and design media from Germany and Austria during a guided press tour on 19th May and during a panel discussion with designer Sebastian Cox and AHEC European Director David Venables. The Invisible Store of Happiness is a collaboration between the American Hardwood Export Council (AHEC) and furniture designer/maker Sebastian Cox (see image) as well as artist Laura Ellen Bacon – they fused their ideas and skills to create an installation for the Design Week (CDW) out of American hardwood. It consists of a mighty steam bent frame that gives way to thinner, weave-able strips manipulated to twist and flow into a whirlpool of texture and shape. This three-metre high wooden sculpture made out of American maple and cherry was showcased in the dramatic archway in front of the Museum of the Order of St John in London’s Clerkenwell neighbourhood from 19th to 21st May 2015.

Industry partners´ day at Bartl Wärmepumpen
About 60 partners of the industry branches heating, energy and air-conditioning technology attended the industry partners´ day at Bartl Wärmepumpen in Dornstadt on 24th April. The company presented the new heat pump ECO 9 LA-DK Triple Sun with direct condensation facility. In combination with a photovoltaic system and a buffer reservoir a widely independent heat supply based on regenerative sources can be achieved.
This combination also provides solutions for future power management. Presentations, factory tours, different heat pumps in action, expert discussions and a supporting program completed the event.

international press day for AHEC at Interzum
May we organized an international press day for our client AHEC at Interzum 2015, Cologne. Journalists from around the world visited the stand of the American Hardwood Export Council (AHEC) and were very enthusiastic about the creative objects from “The Wish List". It is a collaborative project between some of the world’s best-known design names and up-and-coming designers, brought together by the American Hardwood Export Council and Benchmark Furniture. The young designers created objects in a variety of American hardwoods according to the wishes of Paul Smith, Norman Foster, Amanda Levete, John Pawson, Alison Brooks, Zaha Hadid, Alex de Rijke, Richard and Ab Rogers and Allen Jones. After the exhibition was on show at London's Victoria & Albert Museum during the London Design Festival 2014 this was the first and only time “The Wish List” was shown in Germany.

Successful press days at BAU 2015
For each of its clients HI-MACS®, HELLA Sonnen- und Wetterschutztechnik and tremco illbruck pro publica organized a press day at the trade fair BAU (Munich) in the middle of January. More than 25 specialist journalists and photographers attended each of the press days at the clients’ exhibition stands. Together with the team of pro publica the marketing managers of HI-MACS®, HELLA and tremco illbruck informed the journalists about the latest products and developments presented at BAU, the world's leading trade fair for architecture, materials and systems. Press day for ALHO at Medica
In November pro publica organized a press day for its client ALHO Systembau GmbH during Medica in Düsseldorf, the world’s largest medical trade fair. Numerous journalists attended this event at ALHO’s booth at the fair. Supported by pro publica Juliane Brendebach, marketing director ALHO, presented interesting topics and projects in the field of modular health care properties to the attending journalists. Furthermore Gerhard Hoffmann talked about the issue of life-cycle costs in modular construction and Jürgen Klement informed the audience about microbiological safety of drinking water in hospital construction.
New corporate blog with StekoX®
StekoX® has established a new corporate blog. However, the blog of the expert in sealing systems is not simply a common corporate blog: Topics like corporate culture, sportsmanship, exciting construction projects and last but not least a sense of humor are significant for this blog. The conception was developed by pro publica. The agency will provide the editorial content and assist the team of StekoX® in writing blog posts and finding guest writers. pro publica at London Design Festival
In the middle of September pro publica assisted its client AHEC (American Hardwood Export Council) at the launch of the exhibition “The Wish List” at the London Design Festival 2014. During the opening event agency owner Ursula Rothe-Klaiber and Daniela Tscherbakova supported journalists of architectural and design magazines from Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
The Wish List is a collaborative project between some of the world’s best-known design names and up-and-coming designers, brought together by the American Hardwood Export Council (AHEC) and Benchmark Furniture. Terence Conran, co-founder of Benchmark, who attended the event, instigated the project. The results of the design ideas of Terence Conran and his friends Paul Smith, Norman Foster, Amanda Levete, John Pawson, Alison Brooks, Zaha Hadid, Alex de Rijke, Allen Jones and Richard and Ab Rogers is ten beautiful objects in a variety of American hardwoods.
