October 2014    Kömmerling in GFF pro publica’s new client Kömmerling Chemische Fabrik GmbH is one of the ten leading adhesives and sealants producing companies. Amongst other things the company produces sealants for the so-called warm edge in glass and façade construction. In its October edition the specialist magazine GFF published a preview on the international fair glasstec and within a one-page report about the sealant Ködispace 4SG. Due to its specific properties it is particularly suitable for structural glazing facades. September 2014    pro publica at London Design Festival In the middle of September pro publica assisted its client AHEC (American Hardwood Export Council) at the launch of the exhibition “The Wish List” at the London Design Festival 2014. During the opening event agency owner Ursula Rothe-Klaiber and Daniela Tscherbakova supported journalists of architectural and design magazines from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The Wish List is a collaborative project between some of the world’s best-known design names and up-and-coming designers, brought together by the American Hardwood Export Council (AHEC) and Benchmark Furniture. Terence Conran, co-founder of Benchmark, who attended the event, instigated the project. The results of the design ideas of Terence Conran and his friends Paul Smith, Norman Foster, Amanda Levete, John Pawson, Alison Brooks, Zaha Hadid, Alex de Rijke, Allen Jones and Richard and Ab Rogers is ten beautiful objects in a variety of American hardwoods.
September 2014    Roof and ceiling panelling by Lignotrend The specialist magazine Bauen mit Holz published a combination of project report and product presentation in its September edition. In a three pages report the writer explains the advantages of cross laminated timber elements produced by our client Lignotrend. The report outlines the importance of functionality and design in the example of the newly built canteen at Goerdeler grammar school in Paderborn. September 2014    Finstral in magazine Glaswelt Glaswelt is a specialist magazine for professionals and decision makers from the window manufacturing, façade, sun protection and glass sector. In its September edition the magazine reported about the South Tyrol based window manufacturer Finstral. With respect to front doors our client can provide various new products and additional services. A two pages report presents the new TOP 90 infill doors as well as the new online door configurator. August 2014    Two reports about AHEC in H.O.M.E. Our client American Hardwood Export Council (AHEC) achieved to be published in two reports in the current edition of the German design magazine H.O.M.E. in the section “City Guide” a double-page report outlines a sculptural timber form made of American Tulipwood in London based “Phoenix Brewery”. It is the most striking thing that you see when you enter the reception of a converted warehouse building in North Kensington. The “City Guide” Marseille shows another one of AHEC’s projects: the flagship project of Marseille's on-going architectural and cultural renaissance, MuCEM. The lace veil of concrete on the outside of the building creates intricate shadow patterns make the museum a “must-see”. Also very impressive is the museum’s top floor roof decking covering an area of 1600m², is made from heat-treated American ash. August 2014    tremco illbruck put to the test In the double edition 7/8 of specialist magazine GFF the curtain wall mounting system of Cologne-based sealing specialist tremco illbruck is put to a practical test. The report about the newly constructed Johanneshaus in Neu-Ulm shows how the curtain wall mounting system is correctly applied during window installation in buildings with thick layers of thermal insulation. Step by step the readers are informed how tremco illbruck’s system is applied in front of the wall, how the window opening is correctly sealed and the windows are installed. August 2014    HI-MACS® creates a piece of art out of a façade

Like a transparent fishing net the white façade made of HI-MACS® clings to the new headquarters of the sailing and motor boat shipyard BENETEAU in Givrand – it reflects the company’s maritime field of activity. However, without the right material this appealing design couldn’t have been implemented in such a delicate and optically light way. Due to its versatility the acrylic stone HI-MACS® offered by our client LG Hausys turned out to be the perfect choice for this project – like a perforated second skin the material veils the building but still gives artfully insights. In the current edition of the specialist magazine for light and building engineering LPI a project report outlines this impressive symbiosis of architectural lighting and corporate design.

July 2014    Silvadec in architectural magazine Bauzentrum E-Bau „A class of its own in the field of floor coverings” – this is the headline in the July edition of Bauzentrum E-Bau which presents outdoor flooring products of our client Silvadec. The company is market leader in Europe regarding WPC (Wood-Plastic-Composites)  and offers high quality, especially solid and certified, ecofriendly panels for the design of exquisite outdoor grounds. July 2014    Two pages report about Geiger Antriebstechnik in Bauelemente BAU In the middle of May pro publica organized a press day for its client Geiger Antriebstechnik at the company’s headquarters in Bietigheim-Bissingen. More than 15 specialist journalists attended the event and learned more about one of the leading manufacturers of solar shading drives. One of the results of this press event is a two pages report in the double issue June/July of the specialist magazine Bauelemente BAU which outlines the company’s development and its quality standards concerning research and manufacturing. June 2014    Bartl Wärmepumpen in Das Haus Spezial With a print run of about 1.75 million copies “Das Haus” has one of the largest distribution ranges of all magazines for building societies. The special edition “Energie 1/2014” outlines the sensible energy concept of a detached house. The house’s centerpiece is a geothermal heat pump, produced by our client Bartl Wärmepumpen. May 2014    Cover page and two-pages report about AHEC

In edition 4 of the architectural magazine bba bau beratung architektur pro publica launched a two-pages report as well as the cover page for its client AHEC (American Hardwood Export Council). The report outlines so-called “Shoffice” (shed + office) – a garden pavilion containing a small office alongside garden storage space located at the back of a 1950's terraced house in St John’s Wood, London. The project brief was for both a practical office space and a sculptural object that flowed into the garden. The project was a close collaboration between Platform 5 Architects, Morph Structures and the contractor Millimetre. The finished design is a fully glazed office, which nestles into an extruded American White Oak elliptical shell that unfurls to form a small terrace in the lawn.

May 2014    Press day at Geiger Antriebstechnik About 15 specialist journalists will attend the press day of pro publica’s client Geiger Antriebstechnik from Bietigheim-Bissingen on Tuesday, 13th May. April 2014    AHEC in magazine for building societies Das Haus Like an elliptical shell made of American white oak the so-called Shoffice (shed+office) nestles into the back of a 1950's terraced house in London’s district St John’s Wood. April 2014    4-pages report about American Tulipwood supplied by AHEC

A sculptural timber form is the most striking thing that you see when you enter the reception of the converted warehouse building “Phoenix Brewery” in North Kensington, West London. Made from panels of Tulipwood supplied by our client AHEC, this feature is not only decorative but also multifunctional. In a 4-pages report the editorial team of element +BAU describes the development of the former Victorian warehouse to its current use as an office building with a core made of American Tulipwood.

March 2014    Report about Finstral in architectural periodical bba Cultural manager Pater Paul Kainrath built himself a special special villa in his homeland South Tyrol. Designed by his father, Rainer Kainrath, the villa located at the local wine route easily unites contemporary style with traditional architecture, generous facilities with reduced external dimensions and numerous glazing with an high degree of energy efficiency. For all these requirements the new aluminium programme FIN-project of the South Tyrolian window manufacturer Finstral seemed to be the perfect choice. February 2014    Bartl Wärmepumpen in specialist periodical about air-conditioning technology pro publica was able to place a two-pages project report about modern heat pump technology in the February edition of the specialist periodical Die Kälte + Klimatechnik. The report outlines the renovation of a manor at a palatine vineyard which was equipped with a heat pump of our client Bartl Wärmepumpen. The whole manor can now be heated environmentally friendly and efficiently as well as supplied with warm water – independent from any fossil fuels. January 2014    Fascination for school centre in France The school centre Pasteur in Limeil-Brévannes near Paris was completely constructed in timber. The architectural office is r2k from Grenoble, the timber elements were provided by our client Lignotrend from Weilheim-Bannolz. From an architectural as well as from a timer constructional point of view the school centre satisfies very high requirements. This was successfully outlined in an extensive report. More than 20 publications were achieved in French and German print and online media – the hitherto last publication could be found in edition 8/2013 of dach+holzbau. In edition1-2/2014 there is a special focus on the topic wood in construction. A half-page report outlines the new library on the campus of Zayed University in Abu Dhabi. For this library architect Hadi Teherani decided to use American Walnut promoted by our client AHEC (American Hardwood Export Council). Situated in the centre of the campus the library, which is one of the most important university libraries in Middle East, provides enough space for 150.000 books. December 2013    Bauzentrum E-Bau: every stair is one of a kind For more than 40 years Stadler Treppen in Bad Saulgau has been manufacturing individual stairs. During the whole manufacturing process the company focuses on real craftsmanship instead of industrial production. This is why every stair is unique and fits into every living space. With the new product “Stadler Kreativ” our client presented a new scope for design for its whole range of stairs. The editorial team of the architectural periodical Bauzentrum E-Bau published in the magazine’s December edition a one-page report about “Stadler Kreativ” which can give every step of a stair an individually printed design. November 2013    Report about Finstral in magazine for building societies

Wohnen is a magazine of the building society BHW about building, furnishing and lifestyle. It has a distribution rate of more than 1 million copies and is published four times a year. In edition 3/2013 pro publica was able to launch an illustrated report in a special section about windows for its client, the window manufacturer Finstral. In a two-pages report Wohnen presents the new glazing in the conservatory of a single-family home. For this glazing Finstral’s product FIN-Project was used. Based on this example the report outlines the difference between G- and U-Data.

November 2013    HI-MACS®-report in bba In Berlin-Grunewald architect Volker Wiese has implemented his home in Bauhaus style. The energy-efficient building is entirely furnished with sustainable construction materials, i.e. the acrylic stone HI-MACS® of our identically named client. The solid surface material was used for cladding. In this special case the HI-MACS®-FR elements for outdoor use in the color “Alpine White” were fixed on a substructure. October 2013    Press day for ALHO In autumn pro publica organized a press day in Friesenhagen at the production site of ALHO, a manufacturer of modular buildings. A presentation given by ALHO’s management as well as a guided tour of the production facilities informed about 20 journalists of several specialist periodicals about the advantages of modern modular construction. An inspection of a new building of the clinical centre in Siegen built by ALHO vividly showed the journalists that buildings in modular construction can cope with complex and challenging building tasks. October 2013    AHEC in specialist magazine for dentists The magazine Zahnarzt & Praxis is a specialist magazine for registered dentists. It covers the whole range of dental topics with practically relevant specialist articles and case studies. In a special about surgery equipment in the magazine’s October edition the editorial team reports about a design-driven surgery concept of a dental surgery in Berlin which was furnished with American Walnut of our client AHEC (American Hardwood Export Council). October 2013    Double page report for Finstral Once a year BM, a specialist magazine for the interior construction, furniture and component industry, publishes the special edition “prefabricated elements for construction and expansion” in autumn. In the latest edition of the magazine pro publica launched a double page report for its client Finstral about a renovation of a single-family home with Finstral’s system technology. October 2013    Cover picture and three pages report about tremco illbruck On occasion of the celebration of the reorganized brand identity of our client tremco illbruck pro publica invited the specialist press to the production site at Bodenwöhr at the end of August. The specialist magazine bauelement + technik did not only publish a three pages report in edition 5/2013 but the new brand world could also be seen on the cover page. The new corporate logo is a distinct image (“Connex”) in a modern shade of brown. On the one hand this logo is to symbolize the various fields tremco illbruck is working in. On the other hand it refers to the close relationship of the company and its customers. From now on there are only the four product brands illbruck, TREMCO, Nullifire and PACTAN as well as the corporate brand itself – instead of 86 brands and product names. September 2013    AHEC „Endless Stair“open in London Endless Stair, a towering structure of interlocking staircases made from American tulipwood CLT (cross-laminated timber) is open to the public till 10th October 2013 (London Design Festival). This elegant sculpture will provide visitors the opportunity to enjoy stunning views of the River Thames and Tate Modern. Endless Stair is made up of a series of timber flights, some veering to the right some to the left, providing many ways to explore the installation. This project demonstrates the real potential for using tulipwood, an abundant, relatively inexpensive and structurally impressive American hardwood. It is designed by Rijke Marsh Morgan Architects (dRMM), London, and engineered by Arup. The Endless Stair is sponsored by our client AHEC (American hardwood Export Council).
September 2013    Eight pages project report for Lignotrend For its client Lignotrend pro publica launched an eight pages report including an interview with the responsible architect in the September edition of Lignardo. The specialist magazine published a report about the day nursery in Kösching. In cooperation with Lignotrend there was built the largest day nursery in Upper Bavaria. September 2013    Wood meets HI-MACS® pro publica was able to launch a double page report for its client LG HAUSYS HI-MACS® in the August/September edition of exakt, the specialist magazine for carpenters and installers. HI-MACS® is a versatile acrylic stone which is more and more used for architecture and design purposes. A special table named SLO_Gen in the lobby of at the architectural office Gensler at Los Angeles was created using this ecological and high-quality material. September 2013    Report about Rensch in Fertighaus aktuell In a market review in its September/October edition the endusers‘ magazine Fertighaus aktuell presents an object of our client Rensch Haus. September 2013    Manufacturer of modular buildings ALHO in Bauingenieur Bauingenieur is a trend-setting magazine in the field of construction engineering and therefore its’ readers an important target group for our client ALHO. On this account pro publica lauched a one-page report in the magazine’s September edition about the new traffic management centre in Leverkusen built in modular construction.  The modular building allows the organizational merger of all sectors essential for an effective traffic control and ensures an even smoother working process. In a construction phase of ten weeks 19 room modules were assembled to a two-storeyed office building which fulfills the statical requirements for an additional storey. August 2013    Cover story and eight-pages report in French magazine Woodsurfer Woodsurfer is a specialist periodical about wood construction in France. For its’ client Lignotrend pro publica launched a eight-pages report in the magazine’s summer edition about the largest school complex in France entirely constructed in timber. Three preschools as well as two primary schools and housing complexes constitute the core of this major project built according to ecological principles and using wood as a material. Due to a successful architectural concept and prefabricated wood components produced by our client Lignotrend the project corresponds to highest claims of quality. August 2013    Four-pages report in a specialist periodical for energy advisers In the double issue July/August of Gebäude-Energieberater pro publica launched a four-pages report about a new projecting window system. The author of the report, Kerstin Weiler, who is working for the manufacturer and service provider of high-performance sealing, bonding, flooring, waterproofing and passive fire protection gives a perfect  description of a modern way to install windows in front of walls. August 2013    Report in “Energy” special of DBZ

In its edition for July the architectural magazine DBZ published a three-pages technical report about our client tremco illbruck’s curtain wall mounting system. The report was written by Frank Unglaub, head of department architecture and project consultation at tremco illbruck. In his three-pages report the sealing expert outlines the curtain wall mounting system for windows and doors. In this system a special glue is responsible for the fastening, the load transfer and the sealing of the building structure.

July 2013    ALHO: Two-pages report in a specialist magazine In edition 2/2013 the magazine Stahlbau Nachrichten has published a report about interim solution buildings for the company Max Bögl executed by our client ALHO Systembau. During the construction time operations are to be continued smoothly and without any unnecessary breaks for the 6,000 employees. June 2013    Eight-pages report for Finstral in greenhome greenhome is a consumer magazine about sustainable house construction and modernization. In its July/August edition there can be found an eight-pages report about the reconstruction and expansion of a single-family home. Concerning the window system the building owner decided for products of the aluminium range FIN-Project of our client Finstral. The products convince customers due to their excellent thermal insulation ratings, a narrow frame view and weather resistant, easy-care composite window casements. June 2013    40th anniversary of pro publica – in support of communication The corpoprate history of Filderstadt based agency pro publica started 40 years ago. This fact was celebrated with an anniversary ceremony in June 2013. Founded by specialist journalist Ursula Rothe-Klaiber in Cologne in 1973 the agency for advertising and public relations is specialized in topics like architecture, interior design, timber, ecology and alternative energy sources. pro publica started as a full service provider for Brügmann Holzimport in Cologne in 1973 and established itself in Stuttgart in the 1980s and 1990s by various award-winning awareness campaigns for the German Timber Promotion Fund. Up until now the logo which was developed for this campaign is the spanning word and figurative mark for the German forestry and timber industry.

By the Online-Mailing in German and English StekoX informs its partner companies, building enterprises, clients and engineers about new products and application examples and about its successful participation at bauma 2013 in Munich.

It is very competent in the field of interior design and interior construction and therefore an important medium for our client HI-MACS. The identically named acrylic resin from the house of LG Hausys (Geneva) was used for the new entrance hall of terminal 2F at the airport in Paris. The organically formed pillars which are completely made out of HI-MACS characterize the terminal’s interior architecture. In edition 5/2013 AIT reports about the reasons for the use of the acrylic resin.

May 2013    Trade fair attendance of AHEC at Interzum 2013

In the middle of May our client AHEC (American Hardwood Export Council) presented itself at Interzum Cologne, the world’s largest trade fair in the sector furniture production and interiors. In line with this topic AHEC had designed its booth at the fair which included the ground-breaking workspace “Octopus” – a construction made of American Tulipwood. Besides trade visitors and business partners numerous editors of specialist magazines visited the stand. They had been invited by pro publica in order to join a press reception on 14th May. During this event AHEC Executive Director Mike Snow and AHEC European Director David Venables as well as Rupert Oliver, consultant to AHEC for sustainability issues, extensively answered the journalists’ questions.

In preparation of Interzum in Cologne AHEC and pro publica had invited media to join a press dinner in Stuttgart on 2nd Mai 2013. Numerous editors of different architectural and construction magazines attended this event and were informed about the council’s current and future projects. AHEC European Director David Venables and consultant for sustainability issues Rupert Oliver also provided them with information about important topics like sustainability, environmental profiles, Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and the project “Endless Stair” planned for this year’s London Design Festival 2013.

May 2013    StekoX® in the bauma-review of bauMAGAZIN In April our client StekoX presented itself at bauma the biggest fair for construction machines, construction equipment and vehicles worldwide. Apart from many professional visitors, business partner and clients the editorial team of bauMAGAZIN visited the stand of the specialist for waterproofing. In an interview both of StekoX’s CEOs – Andreas Kogel and Claus Steinbuch - justified themselves to bauMAGAZIN’s editor in chief Michael Wulff. May 2013    Two-pages report for Lignotrend In its focus on „solid wooden houses” the building owner magazine “Hausbau” presents the House at the Lakeside in its double-edition May-June: On a double-page there is shown the solid two-storeyed detached house which works as a passive house in wood construction. The building owner’s desire to build a modest, modern and sustainable home on the large site at Lake Constance which has an art nouveau building in its centre could be fulfilled with the help of our client Lignotrend. April 2013    Press day for ALHO at bauma 2013 For the building industry April is characterized by important fairs. At bauma 2013 the biggest fair for construction machines, construction equipment and vehicles worldwide we organized a press reception for our client ALHO. A range of specialised journalists and photographers attended this event and were presented modular container systems of the future at the stand on the open-air site of Munich Fair. Juliane Brendebach, Marketing Director of ALHO, presented the media representatives the latest container-systems for more efficiency, sustainability and energy efficiency.
April 2013    Title and four-page report in general-public magazine

In edition 4-5, pro publica launched a four-page report including the title in the end-user magazine Renovieren & Energiesparen for the South Tyrolean window manufacturer Finstral. The report describes an all-round renovation including extension of a house's living area. In the case of the window system, the builder-owners decided in favour of the new FIN-Project aluminium programme from Finstral with very good thermal insulation values, narrow frame views and with weather-proof, easy-care countersash windows.

April 2013    User report about the illbruck curtain wall mounting system

In its April edition, the specialist magazine Bauelemente Bau publishes a user report about the curtain wall mounting system of the Cologne-based sealing specialist Tremco illbruck. The editorial board devotes a total of two pages to the novel solution for perfect contemporary installation of windows in front of a wall. Under the headline "Schneller, dichter, leiser" (Faster, tighter, quieter), the individual installation phases are explained in detail in text and images.

April 2013    Reports about Lignotrend

In the spring of 2013, pro publica launched no less than five reports spanning several pages in the architectural and trade press on behalf of its customer Lignotrend. The architecture magazines bba, architektur aktuell and architektur technik as well as Mikado and Holzbau Magazin reported in detail on the new main entrance of an office complex in the Norwegian town of Stavanger. Lignotrend, our customer of many years' standing, supplied the elements consisting of untreated silver fir to Norway, which had been developed as a special construction at the company's headquarters in the southern Black Forest. bba, bau beratung architektur, for example, published a three-page report about the wooden box elements and also devoted the title motif of its March edition to the structural wooden construction.

April 2013    StekoX®-Reportage im Fachmagazin tunnel

In its current April edition, the technical journal tunnel, which is published in English and German, reports on two pages on our customer StekoX®, whose innovative injection hose is used in a huge road and tunnel complex in Denmark. At present, the Nordhavnsvej tunnel is one of the largest construction projects in Copenhagen. The WaterproofX® 100 special injection hose, which protects the tunnel against the water pressure of the Baltic Sea, was chosen for sealing of the working joints.

March 2013    Four-page HI-MACS® report in dds

In its February issue, dds, the specialist magazine for furniture and interior design published a four-page report on transformation of an office floor in a Wilhelminian-style building into a futuristic-looking work environment. The furniture of the central reception and adjoining common area, which is distinguished by a marked room-forming free form and flowing lines, were realised in HI-MACS® acrylic stone from our customer of the same name.

March 2013    Product-PR for NunnaUuni In the past weeks, pro publica launched numerous product publications on behalf of the Finnish soapstone stove manufacturer NunnaUuni. The product PR focused on the stove technology with the new Genius and Centus models. Zuhause Wohnen, Althaus modernisieren or Bauen & Renovieren, for example, are three magazines for the public that have published details of the injector stoves. In the context of a relaunch of the company’s website, pro publica started a corporate blog for StekoX® with the focus on an intensive dialogue with all relevant target groups. pro publica developed the concept, produces reports and other articles, and organises authors, all editing and community management.

February 2013    Lignotrend in French architecture magazine Several reports have appeared in German architecture and timber construction magazines about the iPark office complex, which is linked by special 14 m long timber box elements from Lignotrend. Since January 2013, pro publica has now also been handling PR in France for its customer Lignotrend of many years' standing. The publication about iPark (Stavanger, Norway) in the leading French architecture magazine "ecologiK" is one of the first fruits of the press work launched successfully on the French market in 2013. February 2013    Bartl Wärmepumpen in Energie Kompakt "Energie kompakt" sees itself as a specialist magazine for independent energy advisers and reports in its first edition 2013 on an extraordinary reference object of our customer Bartl Wärmepumpen, the Glücksbrunn senior citizens care home in the town of Schweina in Germany's Thuringia region. February 2013    Lignotrend in French magazine for architects "Top hotel", the specialist illustrated magazine for hotel management, reports in its January/February edition in detail on three pages about the Berggasthof Hoechsten nature experience hotel. Here, it was possible to achieve a special quality of calmness and high intelligibility with the aid of the sound-absorbing effect of the solid wood elements from Lignotrend, which were installed in the wall and ceiling areas. January 2013    HI-MACS® in BM BM is the specialist magazine for interior design, furniture and components, and presents conversion of a Stuttgart-based BW-Bank branch office in its double November/December issue. Attractive room details, which were produced with the design material from our customer HI-MACS®, of the same name, constitute the essential style element of the conversion project. Thanks to the typical properties of the acrylic-bonded mineral material HI-MACS®, it was possible to create the flowing forms that defined the design concept. For the new building of the Montessori association in the Bavarian municipality Kösching, our customer Lignotrend delivered ready-made composite board fin elements and acoustics panels. June 2012    Three-page feature on HI-MACS® in md md is the international design scout for professional interior planners. In its June edition, the international magazine presents the refurbishment of the students' union in a historic building at the University of Newcastle. The feature covers three editorial pages on the re-design of the fraternity house's interior. June 2012    Four-page publication in Highlight pro publica launched a four-page publication on the Mahle Museum Stuttgart for LTS Licht & Leuchten GmbH in the current edition of Highlight (edition 5-6). In the Mahle Inside exhibition building of the Stuttgart-based automotive supplier the light designers used luminaire series S100, Scene 2 and CS A65 made by our customer LTS. 1,200 sqm of exhibition space give an insight into the company's technology and expertise, its products, history and philosophy. Highlight, the specialist magazine for the lighting industry, showcases on four pages how the lighting concept was integrated into the unit of exhibition and architecture. May 2012    HI-MACS® press conference on KÖ3 project The BW-Bank subsidiary on Königstraße 3 (KÖ3) in Stuttgart city centre has been redesigned on the ground floor and the top floor. Attractive room details made from HI-MACS® form the essential style elements in the conversion of the KÖ3 subsidiary. Within the framework of the project, we organised a press conference for HI-MACS® that was attended by around 20 specialist journalists. Afterwards there was a round of exciting talks and presentations by people including representatives from the wittfoht architekten architect's office and the HI-MACS® processor Rosskopf & Partner. To round it all off, participants could go on an extensive tour of the redesigned areas of the bank branch.
